“well, it’s a holiday in earthrealm. not everyone celebrates it, but usually we use it as a day to appreciate our significant others. we gift them candies or some other goods.” you explained.

“…what else?” he asked, genuinely interested in your home’s customs.

“hmm… we put up decorations i suppose. a lot of red, white, and pink everywhere. and hearts. usually people gift their partners something heart shaped.” you added.

a comical lightbulb appeared above havik’s head as soon as he heard you say that.

the next day, which was valentine’s day, you awoke to a box in front of yours and havik’s bed. it literally smelled like shit. did someone send you shit in a box???

“good day, my beloved.” havik greeted, sitting up in bed and looking as if he woke up before you.

“good morning, havik. did you send me this?” you asked. he nodded, gesturing you to open it.

when you opened it, it was as if havik gave you his heart.

“thank you so much, love. i appreciate it.” you told him.

“that’s not all… i also made sure you don’t have any duties for today. you may choose how you want to spend your.. valentine’s day.” havik said, proudly. he was giving you the freedom to choose how you wanted to spend your day.

you chose to spend your day with him. you didn’t really care how you spent it, you were just glad to be around him. he felt the same towards you. havik refused to follow society’s traditional rules of valentine’s day. he wanted to be a little chaotic and mix things up a bit, but he understood that you just wanted to appreciate each other that day.

you wouldn’t change it for the world. he’s a bit strange and refuses to do anything traditionally, but at least he is being himself and still loves you. he loves and appreciates you a *lot* but he just shows his affection for you in a.. unique way. you are the light in his life and he would never give you up or let you down. just let him be a little weird with how he expresses his feelings, and you’re good.

(even tho he refuses to admit it, he does sleep that night in peace with you and clings onto your sleeping form like a sloth to a tree. he’s just so relaxed because he had a good day with you! a weird day. but when do you *not* have a weird day with havik? maybe you two will do this “valentine’s” thing again next year.)

This has been sitting my mind forever since I made him and I’ve wanted to say- Aven is trans 🏳️‍⚧️

He was originally gonna be a girl, until I found out that Veneer is gay codded and might as well be gay from all the fottage I’ve seen

And was gonna settle on his gender when I saw the movie but of course I settled with it months ago

So it’s pretty ironic that Aven was gonna be a girl but now is a boy so he really went threw a transition 😂

His hair and clothing design was based off of Britney Spears

Cause I imagined him singing some of her songs and some of Britney Spears’ songs are close to the 90s

He has an older brother which I will show him some other time

Said older brother is in the hospital cause of sickness (put that in for angst)

Also his older brother is/was apart of a boy band

Aven wears his black jacket cause it shows how he’s pretty depressed and dosn’t wanna stick himself out there

Pretty obsessed when it comes to Veneer before they really met

Yayy!! I got my rambles prepped in case I fell asleep before you woke up so here it is!!! :D

Ok so I've always had troubles with gender bc of a lot of stuff that's. Complicated. But I've noticed that my skin doesn't feel too tight when I go on anon as bug anon! Because I can control how known I am and melt away into being unknown again if it ever gets to be too much! It's gender euphoria like I've never had before!!! Like it feels unfair to call it just gender euphoria because it feels like I'm finally perceived how I AM inside! It's one of the best feelings I've ever had! And even just beyond that, I've had apple pie and drawing more and making new stories and I'm figuring myself out! And I'm getting better! My brain isn't so scratchy and its fangs may still be sharp but it bites less often and with less ferocity and I have words for myself that I didn't always have and I'm finally comfortable with them and happy to see them used!! It's such a weird hurdle that I don't see used much, but especially when using new labels it's so hard to bridge the gap between "Yeah that applies to me :|" and "THAT'S ME!!! :D" sometimes and I bridged it without even realizing it! I'm me and my skin may still be too tight but I've given myself wiggle room and I understand WHY it's too tight! So I'm able to find ways to ease it! I love being me and I love being bug anon and I love that I'm alive despite it all!
